A Sustainable Healthy Diet
Wellspring Vancouver campers enjoy a variety of appealing low-fat, low-density foods, including many of the foods you love -- prepared in a way that will help you lose weight and keep it off. At Wellspring Vancouver, campers learn to love foods that are conducive to weight control – foods that are low-fat and – most importantly – delicious. Equally important, the Wellspring teen diet is simple, so that children and teens of all ages are able to follow it at home, and away from home, without requiring parental control, or forcing parents to play the “food police.”

Campers are served breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks per day in a spacious, modern and very comfortable dining hall. In addition to the “controlled” food served at each of the meals, there are “uncontrolled” foods available.

Uncontrolled foods are fat-free yogurts, cottage cheese, soups, fruits, vegetables and condiments. These are available in an unlimited quantity so that campers can eat as much as they feel they need; the only thing required is self-monitoring, or recording calories and fat grams after meals. We share our self-monitoring journals in sessions with behavioural Coaches 4x per week. The result is a teen diet that is sensible and sustainable.
